Terms of service

The service

SportsScorer lets you organize sports tournaments, score matches live, and share public pages that anyone can follow. The service is free to use today. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll say so clearly before anything changes for you.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time password. You're responsible for activity on your account, so don't share OTP codes with anyone. A profile may exist for your phone number before you sign up if a captain or organizer added you to a roster — see our privacy policy for how these stub profiles work and how to have one removed.

Organizer responsibilities

If you create a tournament, you're responsible for its content: the tournament name, team names, schedules, and everything published on its public pages. When you or a team captain add a player by phone number, you confirm you have that person's permission to add them and to display the name you enter. Only the organizer (and co-organizers they appoint) can change a tournament — teams, fixtures, settings, and scorer assignments.

Scoring and accuracy

Scores are recorded by people, so mistakes happen — that's why scoring supports undo and corrections, and every scoring action is kept in an audit trail. Organizers are expected to keep results honest; standings and awards computed from the scores are only as fair as the scoring behind them.

Acceptable use

Don't use SportsScorer to:

• Impersonate another person, or add people to rosters without their permission
• Create junk, fake, or spam tournaments, teams, or profiles
• Post abusive, unlawful, or infringing content in names or any other field
• Interfere with the service, other users' data, or our systems

Our rights

We may remove content that violates these terms, unpublish tournaments, and suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse. Where reasonable we'll tell you what happened and why. We may also change or discontinue features as the product evolves.

Disclaimer and limitation

SportsScorer is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable — including offline-tolerant scoring — but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that every recorded score is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
